The light microscope picture shows the presence of only red clones in the eye. The SEM picture shows disorganized ommatidia and that some of the ommatidia have fused together in the cell-lethal mutants. Also, some of the ommatidia formed different shapes than the regular hexagon shape and other have holes. Additionally, a small patch shows loss of structure. The orange/white mosaic eyes are observed for small clone analysis. These phenotypes have greatly expanded white clones, which supports the cell-lethal large clone observation. The small clone SEM picture displays a rough phenotype. Reversion to wild type eye by excision: Yes This stock is available here: http://kyotofly.kit.jp/stocks/dgrccart.php?selected_no=111390 |
